My style is heavily focused on raw moments. I'm not going to force you into some uncomfortable pose and recreate that feeling of high school picture day. I will give you prompts to get you interacting with each other - some are cheesy and some are really romantic. Regardless of your session type, I am chasing those in-between shots most photographers miss. If you want a photographer who will show up and give you those cookie cutter 'stand and smile shots', we may not be a good fit.
Connection...
This is a pivotal part of the process when shooting with me. I get to know my clients, I ask you questions that help me better understand who you are. This starts with my contact form and beyond, every interaction is a vital step to make you as comfortable as possible prior to your session. My clients are focused on creating together, not just 'trying to get photos done'. If you are having to drag your significant other to a session, we might not be a good fit. Being nervous is completely normal, however if someone really does not want to be there it will be reflected in your images.

I do not stick to one specific style when shooting as every client, location, and event is different. I want the photographs I take of you to reflect who you are and how you felt at that exact moment. When making artistic choices I do so for my clients vs. for personal benefit. These are your memories and together we can make them some of your most treasured moments.
We get nervous in front of the camera, what will our session be like?
Luckily, awkward is my specialty. I am a very laid back personality which tends to help my clients feel at ease. I am also goofy and will do just about anything to make you laugh. I typically shoot in a documentary style so I take pictures when you're talking, laughing, hanging out. If anything looks weird I will definitely let you know!
What do we wear?
I offer complimentary styling for your session. Don't worry I got you!
Do you offer discounts?
No. My prices are firm. I do however offer bi-annually mini sessions in the spring and the fall.
Do you give clients RAW images?
No. Editing is a fundamental part of my artwork and giving away something that is 1/2 assed is not my jam.
Can you edit in a different style?
No. I have cultivated my editing style over years of shooting. I do not edit 'light and airy' my style is more earthy and moody. I also know my style isn't for everyone, but there are several photographers that edit on the lighter side!
Can you photoshop us?
I do not alter the way you look aside from skin blemishes and anything else that is temporary (bruises, scrapes, acne, etc.) If you are self conscious about something please let me know prior to your session as it will change the way I pose you!
What if we need to cancel/reschedule our session?
If you have already put a retainer down on a date then have to move/cancel it, the retainer is legally non-refundable and a new retainer will need to be made in order to hold your new date.
